Ember Counselling is based in Kitchener-Waterloo and provides psychotherapy and counselling both in person and virtually. Our goal is to come alongside you and provide therapy that helps you overcome whatever you are facing and begin to not only cope, but thrive. Working with both individuals and couples, we offer counselling services for a wide range of issues using techniques that really work.
At Ember Counselling, we believe it is important to integrate all elements of an individual into counselling including thought, emotion, physical and spiritual components. Ember Counselling offers Christian faith-based counselling in addition to other counselling services.

What to expect
The thought of going to therapy can feel like an intimidating experience for many people. Our goal is to ensure that you feel comfortable, heard and understood in seeking out counselling.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and begin by determining together what would be most helpful to focus on. We will collaboratively set goals and work together to help you reach these goals. Video counselling is also available. If this is something you are interested in, please feel free to contact us.
You can expect to have counselling tailored to your needs. Each person is different and so it is important that you feel heard, safe and good about the counselling experience.
Fees
Counselling services are covered by most insurance plans. Check with your benefits for coverage of a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW).
50 minute individual session with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP): $125.00 - $150.00 (+hst)
50 minute couple or family session with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP): $125.00 - $165.00 (+hst)
50 minute individual session with a Registered Social Worker (RSW): $125.00
50 minute couple or family session with a Registered Social Worker (RSW): $125.00
Documentation is $25.00 per letter.
We accept e-transfer or cheques as payment.
